Ross Goodwin

Ross Goodwin's broadcasting career began in Australia, with 4 IP and 4 LM Queensland. He moved to New Zealand, for the start of, Radio Hauraki's Pirate years (Oi Ross was it Sinbad or Blackbeard???) and stayed through until 1975. He was also involved with, the birth of South Pacific television (T.V 2)

From T.V 2 Mr Goodwin moved to one ZM re-emergence as 1251 Zm, complete with new American research techniques. Such was it success that Ross was approached to return to Hauraki as Program director. After Achieving Number there, the next move was to the fledgling FM band and 89 FM. There followed the "Hardest fought battle" of them all, to finally achieve a number one over ZB and 91 Fm (It's okay Ross has brought one station to a better rating than 91 before and we all have the up most confidence that he will again.)

After the sale of 89 FM, a move was made to Channel 2 as corporate voice and another start of a young urban-dance station (we won't mention)

Ross's job entails, picking the music to played on air, how often it's played and when. His selections are well planned as the music that is played on Channel Z, is not thrashed and have a good spread.
